Q: Do I need an account to place an order?
No, you can checkout as a guest. However, creating an account lets you view your order history, save addresses and manage your details more easily.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major payment methods commonly used for online shopping (such as credit/debit cards and selected online payment providers). The available options are always shown at checkout. Your payment is processed securely by our payment partners, and we do not store your full card details.
Q: Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Payments are processed over encrypted (SSL) connections by certified payment providers. This is standard practice for reputable EU online stores to protect your data and prevent fraud.
Q: Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We start processing orders quickly, so changes are often not possible. If you need to change or cancel your order, contact us immediately with your order number. If the parcel has not been dispatched yet, we will do our best to help. If it has already been shipped, you may still use our returns process once you receive it.
Q: Do you issue VAT invoices?
Yes. All orders include an invoice. If you need a company invoice with VAT details, please enter your company name and VAT number at checkout.
Q: From where do you ship?
All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Poland (European Union).
Q: Which countries do you ship to?
We currently ship to:
- Poland,
- most EU countries,
- selected non-EU destinations, including the United States.

Q: Which couriers do you use?
We work with reputable carriers, including DHL, DPD, GLS, UPS, InPost, Poczta Polska, and for many international shipments (including the USA) FedEx. Depending on your location and order size, we choose the most suitable option.
Q: How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs depend on the destination country, total weight/size of the order and the chosen shipping method. The exact cost is calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm payment. This follows EU best practice: the total price including all charges must be shown before you pay.
Q: How long will delivery take?
Estimated delivery times after dispatch:
- Poland: approx. 1–3 business days
- European Union: approx. 3–7 business days
- Non-EU Europe (e.g. UK, Switzerland, Norway): approx. 5–10 business days
- United States & other international destinations: approx. 7–21 business days
These are estimates. Actual delivery times may vary due to customs processes, carrier delays, peak seasons or local holidays.
Q: How can I track my order?
Once your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking link (if tracking is available for your chosen method). You can use this link to see where your parcel is and when it is expected to arrive. This is standard practice among cookware and kitchenware shops in Europe.
Q: Do you ship to InPost parcel lockers in Poland?
For many addresses in Poland we can offer InPost parcel lockers or InPost courier delivery. The available options for your postcode are shown at checkout.
Q: Will I pay customs duties or import taxes?
- Within the EU:
Orders shipped from Poland to other EU countries are considered intra-EU deliveries. There are usually no additional customs duties for standard consumer goods. VAT is included according to EU rules. - Outside the EU (e.g. USA, UK, Switzerland, Norway):
Your order may be subject to import VAT, customs duties and handling fees in the destination country. These charges are not included in our prices or standard shipping rates (unless explicitly stated). The customer is responsible for any such additional costs required by local authorities.

Q: What is your return policy for EU customers?
If you are an EU consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, in line with EU consumer protection rules. Products must be unused, in resellable condition and returned with all accessories and original packaging where possible.
At Chef Lab Store we currently accept full order returns only (we do not normally process partial returns of single items from a multi-item order).
Q: Who pays for return shipping?
- Change-of-mind returns within the EU:
The customer pays for return shipping, provided this is clearly stated in advance, which is common practice for EU online stores. - Defective / damaged / incorrect items:
If we confirm a defect, damage in transit or an incorrect item, we will either provide a pre-paid return label or reimburse reasonable return costs agreed in advance. - Returns from outside the EU (e.g. USA):
Return shipping and any customs/import fees related to the return are at the customer’s expense.

Q: How do I start a return?
Please email us at profstore.pl@gmail.com with:
- your order number,
- full name,
- reason for the return (change of mind / damaged / defective / wrong item),
- photos if the product or packaging is damaged.
We will reply with instructions, the return address (Julianowska 68D/2, 05-500 Julianów, Poland) and any additional information required.
Q: What should I do if my order arrives damaged or defective?
Contact us as soon as possible and no later than within 3–5 business days of delivery. Please include:
- description of the issue,
photos of the outer box with labels,
photos of the inner packaging and the damaged product.
Q: Can I return used products?
No, unless they are defective. We cannot accept returns of:
- used cookware or knives with visible signs of use,
items with missing parts or damaged original packaging (beyond what is necessary to inspect the product), - products sold as “final sale” / clearance where non-returnable status is clearly indicated,
- gift cards,
- customised or personalised products (e.g. engraved items) if the legal return period has expired.
Q: Do you offer exchanges?
We do not process direct exchanges. If you wish to change a product, you can:
- return your order according to our Refund & Returns Policy;
- place a new order for the desired item.
Q: Are your products genuine and original?
Yes. All brands we sell are 100% original products sourced from official distributors or directly from the manufacturers in the EU. We do not sell counterfeits or grey-market items.
Q: Do your products meet EU food safety standards?
Yes. All cookware, knives and tableware we offer are intended for food contact and must comply with applicable EU and Polish safety regulations. If a product has special certifications or features (for example PFAS-free coatings), this is clearly mentioned on its product page.
Q: Are your knives and cookware dishwasher safe?
It depends on the specific product and brand. Please always check the “Care & use” information on the product page and in the manufacturer’s instructions:
- many premium knives and some cookware are not recommended for dishwashers (hand-washing is better for edge retention and surface finish),
- some items are dishwasher safe, but hand-washing can extend their lifespan.
Q: Do you offer a warranty on products?
All products are covered by the statutory guarantee rights that apply under EU and Polish consumer law. Some manufacturers may offer an additional commercial warranty (e.g. several years for certain cookware). Where applicable, this is indicated on the product page or in the documentation included with the product.
Q: A product is sold out. Will it be restocked?
For many core items we regularly restock. For limited editions or discontinued products, restocking may not be possible. If you are interested in a specific item, contact us and we will let you know if and when it is expected back in stock.
Q: In which languages is the store available?
Our store is being developed for three languages:
- Polish,
- English,
- German.
During the rollout, some content may appear first in English and be gradually localised. You can change the language using the selector in the header or footer (depending on your theme settings).
Q: In which currency will I be charged?
The currency and final amount you pay are shown at checkout. Depending on your location and our configuration, prices may be shown in PLN, EUR or Dollar USA; if your bank operates in another currency, it will handle the conversion according to its own rates and fees.
Q: Are prices shown with VAT included?
For deliveries within the European Union, prices are shown including VAT, as required by EU consumer rules. For deliveries outside the EU, local duties and import VAT are usually not included and may be charged by your local authorities at import.
Q: Do I have to subscribe to the newsletter to place an order?
No. Newsletter subscription is completely optional. You can shop without subscribing.
